San
Antonio's the most haunted city in Texas, probably because of how
old it is and all of the history here. There are so many
legends, so many stories that are so cool to check out. Too
scared to find and explore these places yourself?! No
problem...The Russell Rush Show asked you where you wanted us to
explore...now here's what we found.
Please keep your hands inside the
page at all times and fasten your depends....NOW.
#5
Chinese Graveyard - Go down
Zazamora after you pass Loop 410 keep going. The road will
make a slight turn to the right and on the right (it is hard to see
so go slow) there will be a big white cross. Pull in turn the car
off along with lights its better with the windows down. Quickly
flash your lights five times and look and listen for talking and
white apparitions around the very small graveyard.
#4
Woman Hollering Creek - Located
easily by a sign on Highway 90 East of San Antonio on the way to
Seguin. There are several legends here. One that a
woman went mad and drowned her children in the creek and then
roamed the creek calling for them till the day she died.
Another says a band of Comanche Indians kidnapped a woman, took
her down to the creek, raped her, and then murdered her all while
her husband and family listened to her scream. Finally, the
most heard legend is that of a woman whose husband had just been
scalped by a band of Comanche Indians and she knew what fate
awaited her and her children, so she took them down to the creek
and drowned them herself so that the Indians couldn't kill
them...and when the Indians discovered here after she drowned the
children she went mad with rage scaring the Indians off...and for
years, she sobbed and weaped for her lost children. In
Spanish the bridge means weaping woman...Lo Llorna. If you
go here and say, "Mom are you here"...you will hear her
a woman calling back.
#4
Insane Asylum - Previously known as
the Southwestern Insane Asylum, back in 1889 it was renamed the San
Antonio Insane Asylum by the state, and then finally the San Antonio
State Hospital. For the record...we don't recommend anyone
going here as there are numerous homeless people living in the
abandoned hospital and due to the moron neighbor next to the place
who sits on his porch with a loaded shotgun - and doesn't hesitate
to shoot. (in the air mostly to scare you, but that did the
trick for us!) The insane asylum has been abandoned for quite
some time...and the buildings are extremely creepy. There are
numerous reports of shadow people, and don't run away as these
spirits will chase you and ask you for help. It is one of the
most bizarre places you'll ever see. When they moved to the
new hospital...they left everything. The entire hospital was
left AS IS, equipment, records, beds, etc. When you go in,
there are hundreds of papers, records, and file folders just thrown
around, strewn about everywhere. The even left evidence
jars and the unmarked graves of the thousands who died there.
